Many feel that one thing seems inescapable about this wave of illegal aliens flooding the U.S.A.: they are bringing a wave of dangerous communicable diseases with them.
As this great unwashed wave of illegal aliens continue to pile up on our southern border, these often unvaccinated, dirty, lice-infested rabble is exposing Mexican citizens to a growing list of diseases as they gather in Tijuana, Mexico.
As Monica Showalter recently wrote:
Right now, it’s happening in Tijuana, where 6,000 migrants are still camped out. Fox News reports that more than a third, some 2,200 of them are being treated for lice, scabies, chicken pox, hepatitis, HIV, tuberculosis, and infections. The San Diego television press reported last night that measles has also been detected in the squalid encampment, where new caravans are arriving even as some pack up and go home.
And now there is rain in the area making the living conditions for these illegals get even worse.
Of course, liberal “news” outlets are desperately trying to convince America that these facts are untrue and that these illegals are not bringing disease along with them from their third-world lives.
For instance, left-wing website Vox outright pooh poohs the claim that the “migrant caravan” will bring disease with them. “That’s xenophobic nonsense,” Vox exclaims.
Boston’s WGBH agrees with a piece entitled, “Fox News Says Migrant Caravan Will Bring Disease, It Won’t.”
See. You are a racist if you think these illegals are bringing disease with them.
But, Showalter counters that by noting that mass immigration has “coincided with an amazing collection of new disease outbreak”:
Open borders means open disease, and for everyone. Mass illegal migration has since coincided with an amazing collection of new disease outbreaks now being seen in California, the nation’s pestilence capital, and the home of a quarter of the nation’s illegals. San Diego got a hepatitis outbreak. Los Angeles has typhus. Now there’s a polio-like disease that Dr. Brian Joondeph raised questions about. Uncontrolled borders also correspond to the appearance of heretofore unknown diseases in the Los Angeles area, such as leprosy and chagas disease, the latter of which up until now had been primarily seen in Central America. What a coincidence.
What a coincidence, indeed.
