World’s tiniest surviving baby heads home after 5 months in California hospital.
At only 8.6 ounces the world’s smallest surviving baby ever born was delivered at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns in San Diego, California.
Baby Saybie was delivered at 23 weeks and 3 days gestation after her mother experienced severe pregnancy complications.
After a nearly five-month stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, she was discharged in May 2019 as a healthy, 5-pound infant.
The baby named Saybie was born at 23 weeks and three days and was sent home this month weighing 5 pounds (2 kilograms) after nearly five months in the neonatal intensive care unit, Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns said in a statement.
The baby’s family gave permission to share the story but wanted to stay anonymous, the hospital said.
Saybie’s ranking as the world’s smallest baby ever to survive is according to the Tiniest Baby Registry maintained by the University of Iowa, the hospital said.
Dr. Edward Bell, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Iowa, said Saybie had the lowest birth weight of those submitted to the registry.
“The Registry contains only those infants submitted and medically confirmed,” he said in an email to The Associated Press. “We cannot rule out even smaller infants who have not been reported to the Registry.” More
According to the Left, this is not a baby, just a clump of cells and needs to be aborted. This proves babies can survive as early as 23 weeks. How about that Dem’s?
One would like to hope that seeing this precious small one clinging to life would change at least a few hearts and minds as to the cruelty of intentionally killing far older babies by abortion.
It wasn’t viable tissue! It was a human being…Dem/liberals stop denying! World’s tiniest surviving baby heads home after 5 months in California hospital https://t.co/4PaRzfUQvt

This is more proof that babies are alive before 9 months and should never be butchered and have their organs sold.
