Anyone with common sense understands that a boy pretending to be a girl should not be allowed to compete in ANY sports venue against natural-born female opponents. But liberals with agendas are attempting to destroy girls sports in our schools by allowing boys pretending to be “transgender” to compete as girls.
Well, one parent is finally speaking out against this radical, unfair agenda.
Bianca Stanescu’s daughter, Selina, competes in high school track, and Mrs. Stanescu has spoken to The Daily Signal to speak out against allowing a boy who is pretending to be a girl to compete against high school girls.
Transgender athletes are now competing with Selina as well — and it could affect her future in the sport, as well as whether she’s seen by college recruiters.
Mrs. Stanescu appeared on The Daily Signal’s podcast to talk about the unfairness of allowing boys pretending to be girls to compete in school sports.
Jennifer Bryson, founder of Let All Play, also appeared on the podcast to talk about how biological males playing sports puts women at greater risk of injury
But Mrs. Stanescu is not alone. Recently two high profile people in sports also spoke out against transgenders in sports.
In one case, British Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies raised eyebrows for insisting that it was unfair for transgender athletes to compete against natural-born women. Now, Davies has spoken out again despite the outrage her comments kicked up the first time.
Davies caught criticism in March for saying that “fundamental differences” between men and women make transgender athletes too powerful to compete against natural-born women.
But an even bigger name in sports also spoke out.
Davies’ opinion of trans athletes echoes that of tennis great Martina Navratilova who recently became the target of attack by transgender activists for saying it is “insane” and “cheating” for transgender athletes to compete against natural-born women.
“You can’t just proclaim yourself a female and be able to compete against women,” Navratilova said last December. “There must be some standards and having a penis and competing as a woman would not fit that standard.”
