Like a good little liberal, MSNBC’s Joy Reid not only finds Thanksgiving racist, but she wants her lefty lunatic audience to use their holiday dinners to argue about Trump’s impeachment.
What is wrong with these people?
On Tuesday’s show, Reid went on a rant about the “problematic” Thanksgiving.
“We are just over two weeks away from one of the most beloved American food holidays, Thanksgiving, where problematic actual history meets delicious cuisine,” Reid bloviated.
What is a “food holiday,” anyway? Thanksgiving is a religious-based holiday meant to remind us to give thanks for our blessings. Sure, it is famous for a bountiful feast, but reducing it merely to a “food holiday” is typical reductionist leftism.
Naturally, Reid goes on to warn her five or six viewers that their racist family will be in town and it is the ideal time to argue about politics.
“And many of you will soon be heading home to spend time with family and friends,” she carps, “eat a little too much, and perhaps engage in a dreaded contentious political debate with your cranky Uncle Roscoe when he starts yelling ‘Read the transcript!’ at the dinner table between bites of turkey and pumpkin pie.”
Reid had good news for her audience, though:
“But fear not, we here at ‘AM Joy’ are going to help you get through it all by telling you everything you need to understand about impeachment so that you can easily explain to Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol before you all settle in to yell at each other about football.”
You can bet that Reid didn’t tell her audience that House Democrats are lying about impeachment. They aren’t really engaging in a legal, official impeachment process at all.
But Reid went on to say that people are too stupid to “get” the impeachment story, so she is here to help
“Here’s a hint: Do not worry about trying to explain the cast of characters … or the very overused term, ‘quid pro quo,'” Reid said. “Most people can’t say it, spell it or understand it. What we’re actually talking about here is not a pithy Latin phrase. It’s something a lot simpler: bribery and extortion.”
“Beyond the whistleblower and over 100 hours of testimony backing up that fact, Donald Trump admitted to it, and even released edited notes from his call with the Ukrainian president — which, by the way, is not a transcript — that actually proved he did it!” she exclaimed. “Even Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol ought to understand that.”
Of course, she’s a liar. The transcript proved no such thing.
