Alexandria, Virginia is home to about 150,000, most of who work for the federal government and military. The largest employers are the Department of Defense, Center for Naval Analyses, US Patent and Trademark Office and the Institute for Defense Analyses.
With the city being located just 6 miles due south and across the Potomac River from Washington DC, one would think that the federal government would keep a close lookout for possible terrorists. However, it seems the Obama administration has turned a blind eye to what has been happening in their neighboring town.
Located just outside of Alexandria is one of the country’s most prominent Muslim mosques – Dar al-Hijrah. Just a note – al-Hijrah refers to the Islamic tactic of using the gradual buildup of Muslim migrants to colonize and eventually take over a specific area. According to some sources, Dar al-Hijrah is a front for Hamas and has more ties to terrorist groups than other mosques in the U.S. The Imam there is Shaker Elsayed, an Egyptian born Muslim.
Elsayed was recently speaking to crowd of Ethiopian Muslims at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria when he told them:
“The enemies of Allah are lining up. The question for us is, are we lining [up] or are we afraid because they may call us terrorists?”
“Let me give you the good news: they are already calling us terrorists anyway. Whether you sitting at home, watching TV, drinking coffee, sleeping or playing with your kids, you are a terrorist because you are a Muslim.”
“Well, give them a run for their money. Make it worth it. Make this title worth it, and be a good Muslim.”
“Muslim men when it is a price to pay, they are first in line. … They are the first in the community-service line. They are the first in jihad line.”
Elsayed’s speech was greeted with resounding applause. Then the emcee of the event quickly took the podium and tried to tell the crowd:
“Just a disclaimer. Imam Shaker, he’s not advocating for armed struggle in Ethiopia. He’s just simply giving us a lesson. We’ll just continue with our non-violent struggle until these guys who are in prison [in Ethiopia] who did not bow down for this repressive government … are free.”
Imagine what would happen if one of America’s top Christian leaders gave a speech like that. What would be the reaction of his church and the government? John Rossomando, a researcher with the Investigative Project on Terrorism was thinking the same thing. He told The Daily Caller:
“If Dar al-Hijrah were like most American religious institutions it would fire Elsayed, but it’s not like most religious institutions.”
“The mosque operates as a front for Hamas … [and] has the distinction of being connected with more terror plots than just about any other mosque in America.”
He goes on to say that although the government has arrested and deported or jailed other Muslim terrorists, they seem to ignore this prominent mosque that is so close to the nation’s capital. He also says that the government is intentionally ignoring the designed spread of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. He said:
“The Obama administration has willingly turned a blind eye to the extremist statements by the leadership of the nation’s top Islamist groups.”
Elsayed is no stranger to making inflammatory statements that would be considered hate language if anyone else had said it. In 1990, he literally condoned the murder of Jewish Rabbi Meir Kahane in New York. Elsayed said the murder:
“was not a violation, in the sense that Kahane adopted a position against all Arabs and Muslims.”
He was referring to sharia law that condones the killing of anyone who says anything critical against Islam. That includes Jewish rabbis and Christian preachers. They believe that Islamic sharia law supersedes civil law. In fact, this is now part of the new constitution established last year by Obama’s friends in Egypt.
This mosque has produced other Muslim extremists including the terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki, who served as the imam before Elsayed. Awlaki left the mosque and the U.S. in 2004 and eventually was killed by a drone attack in Yemen in 2011.
We need to be demanding that the federal government treat Elsayed and the Dar al-Hijrah mosque as they would any other person and nest of terrorism. However, with a Muslim terrorist in the White House and the Attorney General who does his every bidding, regardless if it’s legal or not, it’s no wonder nothing has been done about Elsayed and his house of mayhem.
