House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has erected a legal wall to prevent President Donald Trump from giving the upcoming State of the Union Speech in the House chamber.
On Wednesday, Pelosi said that she is barring the president from giving the State of the Union speech (SOTU) in the chamber she now controls.
Pelosi announced her petulant move in a letter sent to the president today.

According to the New York Post:
“I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the President’s State of the Union address in the House chamber until government has opened,” the speaker wrote as the brinksmanship between House Democrats and the White House continued to escalate.
Pelosi added that the president would be welcome if he caves in to her demands to pass a budget that does not include his border security spending.
Yes, Pelosi is holding the SOTU speech hostage to her extreme agenda.
“I’m not surprised. It’s really a shame what’s happening with the Democrats. They’ve become radicalized,” President Trump told reporters.
Trump had issued a letter of his own earlier in the day saying that he intended to make sure the chambers were safe for the SOTU.
“Therefore, I will be honoring your invitation, and fulfilling my constitutional duty, to deliver important information to the people and to the Congress of the United States of America regarding the State of our Union,” Trump wrote.
“It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!” he concluded.
Looks like Pelosi just erected a wall to keep the president out of the House chambers.
This is all quite unprecedented not to mention petty and ignorant.
