Nancy Pelosi has accused Pres. Trump of describing “undocumented immigrants” as “animals.” Here’s what she said:
And so when the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, “These aren’t people. These are animals,” you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity, and worth of every person? “These are not people. These are animals.” The president of the United States…. Calling people animals is not a good thing.
Who are “these people” Pres. Trump was referring to? It wasn’t “undocumented immigrants”; it was the violent MS-13 gangs that have tortured, murdered and raped without any regard for their victims “spark of divinity” or being made in the image of God. See my article “WAS PRES. TRUMP WRONG TO DESCRIBE MS-13 GANG MEMBERS AS ‘ANIMALS’?”
Even CNN and the Associated Press admitted that Trump’s reference was to these violent gangs.
The “spark of divinity” was a nice diversion for the very religious Pelosi who doesn’t care much for God’s commandments. The Bible says, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15). There are other similar passages (John 14:21, 23; 15:10; 1 John 2:3; 5:3; 2 John 6).
Here’s one of those commandments:
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Ex. 20:16).
By the way “spark of divinity” is neither biblical nor Christian. If it’s anything, the concept has close ties to Gnosticism. The Bible states that we are created in God’s image. But when that image can be marred by sin to such an extent that the person is hardly recognized as an image bearer of God. The MS-13 gang members have reached that condition.
You can read some of “the most animalistic, heinous, and vicious crimes committed against Americans by MS-13 gang members” here.
In addition to violating the Ninth Commandment, Pelosi has been in violation of the Seventh Commandment for a long time: “You shall not commit adultery” (20:14) and other passages of the Bible that address sexual sins (Lev. 18:20; 20:13; Rom. 1:18-27; 1 Cor. 6:9; 1 Tim. 1: 9-10) in her support of same-sex marriage. The Ten Commandments do not list all sins. In the case laws following the summary statement of the law in the Ten Commandments, there are other laws against other sexual sins that fall under the Seventh Commandment, for example, bestiality (Lev. 18:23). The New Testament covers all of these sins under the designation “fornication” (Matt. 5:32; 19:9; John 8:41; Acts 15:20, 29; 21:25; Rom. 1:29; 1 Cor 5:1; 6:13; 18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Cor. 12:21; Gal. 5:19; Eph. 5:3; Col. 3:5; 1 Thess. 4:3; Jude 1:7; Rev. 2:14, 20-21; 9:21; 14:8; 17:2, 4).
Pelosi is also in violation of the Sixth Commandment: “You shall not murder” (Ex. 20:13). While Pelosi has not murdered anyone that we know of, she supports the murder of unborn children. It seems that her “spark of divinity” comment does not extend to unborn babies, or if it does, it’s none of her business. Only violent gang bangers like MS-13 — who are murderers — get her attention.
The Bible attributes consciousness and personhood to unborn children.
- Jacob and Esau “struggled” in their mother’s womb (Gen. 25:22).
- While in his mother’s womb, John the Baptist leaped for joy in response to Mary’sgreeting over the news of Mary being pregnant with Jesus (Luke 1:39-45; cf. 1:36).
