New York Democrats Want Convicted Felons to Serve on Juries

Democrat lawmakers in New York’s state legislature are taking the lead in progressive lunacy by voting to allow convicted felons to serve on juries.

Imagine that. Criminals being asked to decide if other criminals should be let off the hook.

Gee. What do you think they’ll say? After all, everyone in jail is innocent. Just ask them!

My guess is they’ll soon start angling to make sure no white people should be allowed on juries.

Anyway, according to the New York Post:

Felons who have completed their full sentencing, parole or supervision periods will be welcomed onto the juror’s bench. There is currently a lifetime ban on felons serving as as jurors.

While Democrats love the idea, Republicans aren’t so sure…

Senator Republican Minority Leader John Flanagan (R-Suffolk) blasted the proposal, calling it an addition to the Democrats’ “Criminal Bill of Rights.”

“How could Democrats believe that Judith Clark, a terrorist who killed two police officers and a security guard, would be an impartial juror? Where is the common sense and the respect for those who lost their lives and the families who still grieve?” he fumed.

This is probably one of the worst ideas imaginable.

Naturally, Democrats love it.
