The NRA’s Wayne LaPierre has taken the fight to President Obama on the his call for more gun laws in a new video.
LaPierre makes it clear that all the laws that are necessary to stop gun violence are already on the books. The truth is, President Obama has no will to enforce existing laws that would stop gun violence in a city like Chicago.
The very liberal, pro-gun confiscation group the Brookings Institution Center on Urban and Metropolitan Policy argues that there are 300 “relevant federal and state laws regarding the manufacture, design, sale, purchase, or possession of guns.”
One would think that 300 laws would be enough. LaPierre points out that if President Obama had the will to stop gun violence in Chicago, he could do it tomorrow, but he won’t because there is no political capital in it for his base.
The entire Black Lives Matter movement would be viewed as a farce since the gun violence in Chicago (and other cities) is mostly black-on-black violence.
Black-on-black violence is ignored by the President and the media. Hard working and law abiding blacks in these violent neighborhoods feel helpless, fearful, and most likely disappointed given that a majority of them probably voted for Obama and believed his “hope and change” rhetoric.
Instead they got same-sex marriage shoved down their throats, more unborn black babies killed by Planned Parenthood that Obama supports like it’s a religion, more high black youth unemployment, and boys who “identify as girls” now able to use girls’ locker rooms.
