Ocasio-Cortez Already Have Some Democrats Ticked Off

Left eating left… Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez opens her freshman orientation by joining a protest at Pelosi’s office.

She joined a sit-in in Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office calling for efforts to combat climate change: “We don’t have a choice.” As noted by The Daily Beast, the group wants Pelosi and House leadership to back a “Green New Deal,” a plan for a sustainable future that Ocasio-Cortez supported throughout her campaign.

The U.S. Capitol Police reportedly arrested 51 protesters and charged them for unlawful demonstration.

Ocasio-Cortez addressed the protesters, who were holding signs asking for a “Green New Deal” from Democrats in charge, and demanding “Green Jobs for All,” shook hands, and gave high-fives to the 50 or so protesters who blocked the entrance to Pelosi’s office. More
