OUTRAGEOUS: Florida High School Principal Tells Kids the Holocaust Didn’t Happen

A high school principal in Palm Beach County, Florida, raised eyebrows when he was heard saying that he does not think that the Germans murdered 6 million Jews during the Holocaust in WWII.

The fact came to light after a parent asked Spanish River High Principal William Latson how his school is teaching kids about World War Two history, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The mother asked what the school is doing to teach about the Holocaust, and in reply, Latson insisted that the school does not push Holocaust history because “not everyone has the same belief” that it ever happened.

In reply to the question, Latson said information on the Holocaust is “not forced upon individuals as we all have the same rights but not all the same beliefs.”

The mother was shocked that Latson seemed to be saying that the Holocaust was a “belief” and not a fact.

Thinking Latson simply had expressed himself poorly, she wrote back, asking him to clarify his comments. “The Holocaust is a factual, historical event,” she wrote. “It is not a right or a belief.”

The woman expected Latson to clarify that he was not saying the Holocaust didn’t happen. But she was shocked when he said just the opposite:

“Not everyone believes the Holocaust happened,” he wrote, according to email records obtained by The Palm Beach Post through a public records request. “And you have your thoughts, but we are a public school, and not all of our parents have the same beliefs.”

He went on to say that as an educator, he had “the role to be politically neutral but support all groups in the school.”

“I can’t say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event because I am not in a position to do so as a school district employee,” Latson wrote.

This is outrageous nonsense.

Indeed, Latson is even essentially breaking Florida education rules.

According to Newsweek:

In 1994, the Florida legislature passed a new law requiring school districts to incorporate Holocaust education as part of public school instruction. The state’s educational statutes require that topics like these be taught “using the books and materials required that meet the highest standards for professionalism and historical accuracy.”

The mother has succeeded in getting some changes made to the school curriculum. But that we ever had a Holocaust denier as a high school principal at all is proof that liberalism has infected and destroyed our system of education.

It is bad enough this man is teaching kids fake history, but even worse is that he is promulgating hatred for Jews.
