Pelosi Refuses To Call On Venezuelan Socialist Dictator Nicolás Maduro To Resign

Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to call on Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro to resign, even as his citizens are starving and he’s blocking humanitarian relief from entering the country, says: “we shouldn’t intervene”

Nancy Pelosi: “Well, I’m going to answer your question two ways. First of all, I would say I’m not disagreement with you about our not interfering in other governments. But I do not agree with your characterization of the Maduro administration. He’s a thug and he’s used the money of his country, put it into gold in other countries for the enrichment of his family and the rest at the expense of the people of the country. And no, that’s not to bless what went before. Before it was a majority of people who were insensitive to the indigenous people in the place, then came Chavez who seemed well-intentioned at the beginning but then he exerted power in a very bloody way. Maduro is much worse. So I agree with you in terms of we shouldn’t intervene. I don’t agree with your characterization of the Maduro administration.”
