Please, Sheriff Wright, Don’t Stop, Keep Speaking Your Mind

“I think I better stop before I get sanctioned.”

These are the words of Sheriff Chuck Wright of Spartanburg County, after he spoke his mind concerning the necessity of private citizens carrying firearms.

Over the weekend, the 46-year old Walter Lance assaulted a woman in the Milliken Park. Lance has been charged multiple times for assaulting women and other crimes. But he is at large, being the beneficiary of a justice system that is failing to protect the innocent.

In his frustration, Sheriff Wright spoke his mind: “Carry a concealed weapon. That’ll fix it.”

We all know it. We all know that courts don’t stop crimes. Armed citizens do.

Wright continued: “Liberals call me and tell me the chain-gang form of justice isn’t working. Well, let me inform you, your form of justice isn’t working either.”

Well, in fact, it is. It is exactly what liberals want: A society where the criminals are free, and the law-abiding citizens are vulnerable. Liberals can’t achieve their goals in a society of free citizens.

Wright also said: “Gun control is when you can get your barrel back on the target quick. That’s gun control.”

That’s a real man. We need more like him. In case you decide to run for President, Sheriff Wright, you have my vote.

And don’t stop speaking your mind, please.
