President Trump Condemns Russia’s Aggression in the Middle East

Honestly, I know the Democrats keep saying that President Trump is in Putin’s pocket, but he sure has been a lot tougher on Russia than Obama ever was.

I mean, just a couple of weeks ago, the US Military (under President Trump’s direction) killed more than 100 Russian mercenaries after those Russians attacked a forward US position in Syria.

American-backed military forces killed as many as 100 Russian mercenaries during an attack on a US-held base in Syria last week, according to a report on Tuesday.

Scores of troops, mostly a mix of Russians and Ukrainians fighting on the side of Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad, stormed the base held by US and Kurdish forces in the Deir Ezzor region, Bloomberg News reported.

Two Russians told the website that 200 of their countrymen died in the failed assault, but a US official said the death toll was about 100 with another 200 to 300 wounded.

No US casualties were reported.

The clash is believed to be the deadliest incident between US and Russian citizens since the end of the Cold War.

Then last week the President condemned Russia (along with other bad actors Iran and Syria) for their disgraceful behavior in the Middle East. Again, the President used far harsher terms  in speaking out against the Putin regime than anything ever uttered by the Obama administration. The President was specifically condemning Russia’s support of a recent Syrian attack on civilians in the war torn nation.

I will say, what Russia and what Iran and what Syria have done recently is a humanitarian disgrace. I will tell you that.

We’re there for one reason: We’re there to get ISIS and get rid of ISIS and go home. We’re not there for any other reason. And we’ve largely accomplished our goal.

But what those three countries have done to people over the last short period of time is a disgrace.

Again, comparing the Obama era to the Trump era, it’s not even close. Trump has been far stronger against Putin than the weak-kneed Obama ever was.
