Gay Groups Now Attacking Marvel Superhero Movies for Not Being Gay and Trans Enough

Avengers: Endgame has become the highest earning opening of all time bringing in over $1 billion in only four days. But now radical gay groups are slamming the Marvel universe of films for not having enough gay and trans characters in them.

Marvel spent ten years building up to Endgame, but apparently it all came off as a failure as far as these radical gay groups are concerned.

As Daily Wire reported:

Predictably, many of those fans are self-identified social justice warriors who are concerned that “Avengers: Endgame” has too few LGBT characters and that audience members may have found some fat jokes, made at the expense of core Avenger Thor, emotionally scarring.

While there aren’t any openly gay superheroes in the series, in Endgame there is one openly gay character. In one scene a character named “Joe” talks of his life partner during a scene where humans are dealing with the aftermath of the last film when the big baddie, Thanos, made half of all life in the universe disappear.

Gay groups are pointing out that this is the first time in ten years that homosexuality was presented in a Marvel film.

Daily Wire points out that five days have passed, and no one has really said anything about this scene in Endgame. In other words, no one either noticed, or much cared that there was a gay character in a Marvel film.

That should be a win for the LGBT community, but social justice warriors were left disappointed that “Joe” wasn’t a more significant character (even though he was played by none other than “Avengers: Endgame” co-director, Joe Russo) and that more significant characters were more concerned with saving the world than finding romance.

Ah, but now the radical gays are taking this as a “slap in the face.”

“The fact that he plays an unnamed character with a few lines almost feels like a slap in the face to the people waiting 22 movies to see themselves represented onscreen. Sure, we’re glad to have confirmation that gay people exist in this universe, but it feels too little, too late,” a ComicBook.com writer complained.

As Daily Wire notes, several other comic fan sites also attacked the movie studio to this “slap in the face.”

So, on one hand, the radical gays have been whining that there aren’t any gays in the Marvel films, but when one does show up in a Marvel film (and the BIGGEST film in history, yet) now it’s a “slap in the face.”

They will never be satisfied until everyone accepts any matter of deviancy.
