Sarah Sanders Shares ‘Powerful Moment’ Between Soldier and Trump During Iraq Visit


Presidential spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders felt compelled to share the touching moment between one of our soldiers and President Donald Trump that occurred during the president’s surprise visit to Iraq.

During the president’s first visit to a war zone, Sanders witnessed an incident that shoe thought was particularly powerful.

Sanders jumped to her Twitter account to highlight the moment.

One soldier got the opportunity to tell the president that he enlisted in the service because he was inspired to do so by Donald Trump.

“And I am here because of you,” Sanders said the president reportedly told soldier.

After Trump and first lady Melania left following the surprise Christmas trip to Iraq to visit with U.S. service-members, Sanders shared the story and how she met up with the young man.

“He gave me the patch from his arm,” Sanders added. “Incredible.”

The soldier is now a member of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

Trump was very well-received by the troops in Iraq.
