A teacher in Tennessee has taken flack for saying on social media that liberals should kill anyone that supports President Donald Trump.
Elementary school physical education teacher David Mosley from Byrns Darden Elementary School in Clarksville, Tennessee, is reported as having said that a girl who punched a man wearing a Donald Trump costume on Halloween should have shot the man instead of punching him.
The teacher’s obscene, violent suggestion was first reported by the Leaf Chronicle in Clarksville.
The teacher’s comment was seen on another man’s post about the incident which occurred in Naples, Florida.
Just before Halloween, a man and his family were standing in line at a Naples haunted house when a 14-year-old girl walked directly up to the man and punched him square in the jaw.
The victim, who was dressed as Donald Trump for the Halloween event, immediately had the girl removed from the premises by the police.
Subsequently, a social media user was talking about the incident saying that the girl should be held accountable. But school teacher Mosley disagreed and instead said that girls should have shot and killed the Trump supporter.
Mosley did not back down from his call for violence when people began attacking him for the comment.
Unsurprisingly, when people began looking into who this Mosley character was and discovered that he listed himself as a teacher at the school, people alerted the school to the comments.
Now, Mosley’s career is on the line over his hate-filled exclamation that people should be murdered if they do not agree with his political opinions.
The school has made no comment about the teacher’s status past acknowledging that it is looking into the situation. However, CMCSS spokeswoman Elise Shelton did say that when someone identifies themselves as working for the district, they are “somewhat speaking for the school district.”
Mosley’s occupation was mysteriously scrubbed from his social media after the controversy made national news.
