According to Politico, Sen. Kamala Harris missed a vote on a disaster aid package to help California rebuild after wildfires.
After wildfires ravaged her home state, she chose to meet with labor leaders instead of a vote on the Senate for disaster relief. Once again Kamala shows that her constituents are there just to be stepped over in her all-out quest for power.
My proposal: if you have taxpayer funded job & want another one, resign the one you have before applying for one you want! Goes for GOP and Dems. Harris skips vote on California disaster aid to campaign for president https://t.co/Z9vccADUuK via @politico

Kamala Harris was in Sacramento — courting the support of labor unions for her presidential campaign.
A day later, Harris was stumping in Nevada when she missed a Tuesday vote on the start of a Republican maneuver to speed up confirmation of President Donald Trump’s judicial and executive branch nominees. Harris was still in Nevada Wednesday when the Senate took more votes, including a historic vote in which Senate Republicans used the so-called nuclear option to finalize their plan to expedite Trump’s nominees.
The missed votes highlight the challenge she and five of her Democratic Senate colleagues face as they struggle to balance their day jobs with the increasing demands of a presidential campaign. Complicating their decisions of when to campaign is the ascent of former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, whose unemployment gives him the freedom to crisscross the country while cable news shows cut in live to his midday events. Former Vice President Joe Biden, should he run, also would not be tethered to the Capitol. More
Don’t you know that running for President is more important than representing California? Anyone who is surprised has not been paying attention.
I think any candidate, from either side, should resign from their current office if they are running for a different one. Normal everyday people don’t get to ditch work for 6 months while they are interviewing for a new job.
I have been saying this for years. Take a leave of absence while you are running for President so a temporary replacement can be assigned to deal with the business of the nation until you are nominated, drop out or lose.
