During President Trump’s oval office address, he referenced several Americans who had been killed by illegal aliens to highlight the necessity of the border wall. Seth Meyers chose to get snarky.
This is why people despise Hollywood because it doesn’t even occur to them it’s wrong until after they get the backlash thrown at them.
Is this Oval Office: SVU?
— Late Night with Seth Meyers (@LateNightSeth) January 9, 2019
NBC’s late-night host Seth Meyers cracked a joke about the dead Americans — killed by illegal immigrants — whom President Donald Trump referenced during his Oval Office address to the country on Tuesday night.
He tweeted, “Is this Oval Office: SVU?”
The joke was immediately slammed throughout Twitter.
A former colleague of Meyers’ at NBC Megyn Kelly responded to him saying, “I’m sure that’s hysterical to the families of the murder victims the president just discussed.”
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld also called out the comedian on Twitter. More
Seth Meyers is coming under fire for using the ‘Late Night’ Twitter account to joke about victims murdered by illegal immigrants during President Trump’s border security speech in the oval office. Now ask yourself why is this tweet still up and why does Seth Meyers still have a job?
When will the left-leaning Hollywood wanna be important people realize they sound really stupid when they jump into politics?
Why are you mocking the victims and their families? Illegal aliens murdering Americans isn’t funny, scum.

With attempted “jokes” like that, I see why you are 15th in the ratings. Reruns of the bowflex commercial rate higher than you.

This tweet is bombing faster than your ratings.

Countdown until he deletes the tweet and apologizes, 10…9…8…7

Joking about murder victims, nice.
— Dan (@Daniel91306) January 9, 2019
Sick. How long did you work on that disgusting “joke”?
— Michelle Evoy (@mishevoy) January 9, 2019
It’s not funny at all. pic.twitter.com/fiwEqFoSk9

Tasteless comment and insensitive to the tragedies in real life. Thanks for reminding me why I stopped watching years ago!

Bring Back Jay Leno he had Class & was actually funny!

#TDS Maybe they will finally pull the plug on your lame show. How are those ratings Seth?
— Mike J (@CoachMike013) January 9, 2019
I’m all for comedy and free speech, but geez man, this is far too soon, and poorly told.
— Dylan (@FrosTieez) January 9, 2019
Here for the ratio. Say what you want about the speech, but making light of someone like Officer Singh being killed is beyond disgusting and you should be embarrassed
— Eric Townsend (@EricDTownsend) January 9, 2019
Honestly, this dude & his show has been terrible since the start. This kind tasteless crap is common for this worthless late night show. I assume the late night 1230am slot doesn’t really matter much anymore, or this show would have gotten the axe 2 years ago.
— Eric McCann (@BigEMcCann) January 9, 2019
So many great late night hosts have come and gone & left great memories, classic skits and jokes. Seth you ain’t one of them and afraid this pathetic attempt at humor drops you not just further down the ratings but out the door.

You will probably have the great fortune of spending next Christmas with your wife, your children and your loved ones. Officer Singh and his loved ones will never enjoy that experience, again. Some things are off limits, Seth — this is one. I used to like you. #Shameful pic.twitter.com/sDhkIlciOu
