Share the Wealth Hits Public Schools

From my experience, probably 99% of students hate homework.  They feel that spending several hours at home with school work cuts into their social life and their time to play and enjoy their youth.

In today’s hectic society, many parents are either too busy to spend time helping their kids with their homework or they just don’t care.  Some parents feel inadequate to help their kids with their homework because it is way beyond what they learned when they were in school.

For those students whose parents do take time to help them with their homework, they generally have higher grades than most other students and end up faring better in their careers as well.  Nurture, if done properly, can make a significant difference in the lives of those kids.

President Francois Hollande, France’s socialistic president also understands the importance of parental involvement in a student’s homework.  Only he feels that it gives those students and unfair advantage over all of the other students and will help to make them more successful.  In a socialistic society, you can’t have some people becoming more successful than others.  Everyone is supposed to be on the same level and since you can’t force every parent to take time helping their kids with their homework and that only leaves one alternative – no homework.

Speaking at the Sorbonne, Hollande said:

“An education program is, by definition, a societal program. Work should be done at school, rather than at home.”

He went on to explain that he wants to offset the unfair advantage that some students have over others and that keeping all students at government run schools longer every day reduces that parental influence that only some have.  In true socialistic fashion, Hollande is taking steps to undermine the family and parental influence of their children while at the same time, keeping them in the government schools longer where they can be brainwashed and indoctrinated with his socialistic philosophies.

What Hollande is doing is essentially the same thing that Barack Obama has talked about, and that is sharing the wealth.  In a socialistic society, you penalize the wealthy and force them to share their hard earned gains with those that are less successful.  People soon learn that success is punished and laziness is rewarded.  The families that care and spend time together doing homework and trying to become a success are going to be punished by having less time together.  The lazy ones that hated and failed to do their homework are being rewarded by not having to do anymore.  In both cases, you end up with an entire generation that won’t even bother to try to improve themselves anymore.

We know that Barack Obama is a socialist and that he closely watches what happens in Europe and often models his own socialistic agenda after them – i.e. Obamacare.  I don’t think he would come out against homework at this time, but do notice that he has been pushing for more public education and has allowed criteria for private schools and homeschools to tighten up and become more restrictive.  In his own subtle way, he has been choking the life out of public school alternatives so that every kid in America will go through the socialistic brainwashing being conducted by the government run school system.

Parents – take this as a warning and make sure that you get involved in your child’s education and know what they are being taught.  You may be shocked when you do.
