Someone turned in an honest-to-God rocket launcher during Baltimore’s gun buyback program this week.
According to the photos that the Baltimore Police Department shared, it looks just like you’d see on any footage of firefights in war-torn areas of the Middle East.
The BPD said they paid the previous owner $500 for the crazy device.

The police also reached out to the military and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to see if they could trace the origins of the weapon.
Officials also hasted to note that the thing was not loaded and the owner said he never had any ammo for it.
According to the New York Post:
News outlets report interim commissioner Gary Tuggle said Friday that the city had spent $163,000 so far on the first two events last week, which netted 509 handguns, 273 rifles and 245 shotguns. The third event was last Friday.
Of course, last week we also saw the hilarious story of a Baltimore woman turning in her gun so she could get cash to buy a better gun!
That isn’t what these liberals who sponsor these useless programs want, naturally. What they want is to disarm the people entirely, not give them money to go buy a better gun!
But one woman, named Darlene, in Baltimore found a way to defeat the liberals at their own game.
The reporters at WBFF, Fox Baltimore, met the woman as she was headed to the police station to take advantage of the buy-back program.
“One woman shows us the 9MM she is turning in for the Baltimore City Gun Buy-Back program. But she says she is using the cash to get a bigger weapon!” wrote Fox reporter Kathleen Cairns.

Fox also interviewed the woman:

She said she wanted to “upgrade to a better weapon.”
Rarely do these programs spend your tax dollars on buying the sort of guns that criminals use. Far more often police end up getting old hunting rifles, broken antique pistols, bird-shot shotguns, and other old junk found in people’s basements or attics. Rarely do police get serviceable semi-automatic handguns or so-called “assault rifles” in these programs.
So, most of the tax dollars doled out for these guns go for weapons that no one would ever use again, much less use in the commission of a crime.
In any case, this woman in Baltimore really turned her city’s buy-back program to her own ends, didn’t she?
