Texas legislators passed a ‘Woman’s Right to Know’ bill that has become known as the Sonogram Law. The bill requires that women seeking an abortion be given access to a sonogram of their unborn child, including being able to listen their heart beat, at least 24 hours prior to the abortion.
Abortion advocates immediately challenged the Sonogram Law and a Texas judge had ruled the law was unconstitutional. However, the Fifth US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the lower court’s ruling and deemed the Woman’s Right to Know law as being constitutional.
Dr Joe Pojman, Executive Director of the Texas Alliance for Life commented,
“When a woman considers abortion, she will receive the same standard for care regarding informed consent for abortion that any patient in Texas considering any other medical or surgical procedure would have the benefit of. Women will have the opportunity to see the sonogram image of their unborn child and to hear the heartbeat of that unborn child at least 24 hours before the abortion.
“The Fifth Circuit was very decisive when it said that the law is constitutional and within the precedent set up by the U.S. Supreme Court in previous decisions.”
Opponents of the law vow to continue to appeal to a higher court in their attempt to block the law from taking effect.
The Fifth Circuit’s decision has also brought out the liberal celebrities that believe that America really cares what they think. Listen to the women on ABCs The View:
Note how they believe it to be so horrible and cruel for a pregnant woman to have to see or hear the unborn child in her womb before she decides to murder it. Never do they mention how horrible and cruel it is on the helpless child to be poisoned with a super saline solution or having their tiny bodies literally ripped into pieces before being thrown in the garbage like last week’s meatloaf.
It’s all about the woman. They are so focused upon themselves that they cannot see the child within or even give it a second thought. They don’t want to hear its silent scream or even consider what they may have to offer to the world and other people if they were allowed to live and grow up.
If I had my way, I would also make all women seeking an abortion to listen to one of my favorite hymns Others. Here are the lyrics:
Lord, help me live from day to day
In such a self-forgetful way
That even when I kneel to pray
My prayer shall be for—Others.
Others, Lord, yes others,
Let this my motto be,
Help me to live for others,
That I may live like Thee.
Help me in all the work I do
To ever be sincere and true
And know that all I’d do for You
Must needs be done for—Others.
Let “Self” be crucified and slain
And buried deep: and all in vain
May efforts be to rise again,
Unless to live for—Others.
And when my work on earth is done,
And my new work in Heav’n’s begun,
May I forget the crown I’ve won,
While thinking still of—Others.
