Middle school teacher Felicia Smith of Texas surprised one of her male students on his birthday by giving him a full contact lap dance in front of the rest of the class.
According to testimony and court records, Smith waited until the student walked into the classroom. She pulled a chair up in front of the class and had the 15 year old boy sit facing the class. Then the 42 year old teacher proceeded to sit on his lap and grind her butt onto his crotch. Her hands groped all over the teen’s body as he slapped and grabbed the teacher’s butt. The four minute long lap dance was so erotic and intense that the teen had a full erection. When her dance was over, Smith knelt down in front of the student and put her head between his legs.
Smith also told the boy:
“I love you baby, happy birthday.”
Here is a re-enactment of what was described in court:
After the incident, Smith was charged with a felony for having an improper relationship with a student after a cell phone video of the lap dance surfaced. She was removed from the school, pending the investigation. The Aldine Independent School District Police investigated the incident and filed the charges against Smith.
Smith later plead guilty to the charges after saying that all she did was circle around him, losing her balance a couple of times and landing on him. She was given 3 years of probation for her lewd and highly inappropriate actions. Smith still has her teaching credentials to teach in Texas, but the state is reviewing the situation to determine if they will revoke her license to teach or allow her back in the classroom.
If it were up to me, Felicia Smith would never stand in front of a classroom in Texas or any other state ever again. She claimed her students put her up to the lap dance, but a teacher should know better and have control of a classroom.
What concerns me is that this sort of thing with teachers having inappropriate sexual contact with students is a growing trend. Male and female teachers are increasingly taking sexual liberties with underaged students. I hear or read about them far too often. The public schools are becoming a haven for sexual predators with teaching credentials. Parents need to be aware of this trend and do what you need to protect your sons and daughters.
