Teen Girl Evens Fight When She Pulls Gun on Intruder

Say you’re a 17-year-old girl at home when an intruder breaks in. You’re clearly frightened and you know that if you do not act fast, you could be harmed or killed. So you pull a gun. BOOM! Fight instantly becomes more even, with odds likely in your favor.

That’s exactly what happened to Kimber Wood when she was left home alone after her boyfriend and parents all went to work.

The Washington girl’s boyfriend likely saved her life when he ran into a sheriff’s deputy and heard about a thief who was at large. So he immediately called Kimber to warn her to be careful. She then called her father to ask if she could borrow one of his firearms in order to protect herself if she needed to.

Well, she needed to.

And luckily for her, he said that she could.

Concealed Nation reports:

Kimber grabbed a gun, put it under her pillow, and went back to sleep. She was woken up by the sound of the car thief breaking into the house. She grabbed the gun she had so wisely requisitioned and hid behind her makeup vanity.

Enter, hapless car thief.

Upon seeing him, Kimber pulled her gun and laid down the law.

“Who are you?” she said according to KHQ. “Get the (expletive) out of my house!”

And the ‘expletive out of her house’ he got.

According to Kimber, his eyes got really wide and he bolted — probably a good move. Kimber wasn’t messing around. As he was fleeing, Kimber fired a round into the floor, which, in retrospect, was probably not the best move. The guy was already running and home repairs are so costly.

The suspect stole Kimber’s boyfriend’s ATV and got the expletive out of dodge, just like she asked.

The deputies reportedly came over and congratulated her for her bravery and quick thinking.
