Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once again unleashed her historical ignorance on America by insisting that our department of immigration has created “concentration camps on the southern border.”
The benighted young Congresswoman once again laid bare her ignorance with a video posted to twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
“This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying,” she ignorantly wrote on Tuesday.
“This is not hyperbole. It is the conclusion of expert analysis,” she added offering as proof an article from Esquire.

“That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps,” Ocasio-Cortez said of migrant holding facilities in a video posted to Instagram. “The fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”
Even worse, she went on to invoke the slogan usually reserved for the Holocaust by demanding that those who agree with her skewed perspective “are concerned enough with humanity to say that ‘never again’ means something.”
The Rep. who is often ridiculed as Alexandria Occasional-Cortex for how little she uses her brain, also called Trump a “fascist” and an “authoritarian.”
It wasn’t long before Occasional-Cortez began feeling the heat over her horribly incoherent garbling of history. She made a follow-up tweet attempting to distance her “concentration camp” claims to the Holocaust.
And for the shrieking Republicans who don’t know the difference: concentration camps are not the same as death camps.
Concentration camps are considered by experts as “the mass detention of civilians without trial.”
And that’s exactly what this administration is doing.
But, the fact is, the term “concentration camp” is not really any different than the definition of “death camp,” So, there is no such distinction between the two.
As one twitter user pointed out:
So Auschwitz didn’t kill people? Huh. That’s weird. pic.twitter.com/MaBLeX6h0G

Of course, Ocassio-Cortez is among those ill-informed liberals pointing to the use of Fort Sill in Oklahoma as a temporary detention center for illegals. Leave aside that Oklahoma is not “on the southern border,” as AOC contended, but what is more relevant is that Obama used this exact same fort for the exact same reason back in 2014. And Obama was the first to use the fort to house criminals since Franklin Roosevelt (a Democrat) housed Japanese Americans there during World War Two.
But, yeah. Let’s not worry about actual history and real facts, huh?
