The number of celebrities who claim to be paragons of climate change virtue is huge, indeed, but so is their carbon footprints even as they tell you that you have to live like it was the seventh century.
A new look at the numbers shows that these celebrities and business leaders who espouse global warming have carbon footprints of up to and exceeding 300 times the average person’s.
If this doesn’t make them hypocrites, what does?
We can call these high priests of globaloney “super-emitters” for the amount of pollution they create compared to you and me.
Simon Kent slammed these hypocrites at Breitbart News recently.
“Topping the list of celebrity greenhouse gas super-emitters is Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, with a whopping carbon footprint of more than 1,600 tons of CO2,” Kent wrote.
Gates is a frequent attendee of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where hundreds of other private-jet-flying hypocrites go to rail against the rest of us for “destroying the earth.”

“Gates took 59 flights in 2017, traveling 213,130 miles, mostly on his private Bombardier BD-700 jet, which he describes as his ‘big splurge’ and which seats 19 passengers,” Kent added.
But Gates is hardly alone:
Second was socialite Paris Hilton, who flew 171,346 miles by various private jets, emitting more than 1,260 tons of CO2 in the process.
Jennifer Lopez flew 139,520 miles, Oprah Winfrey 83,356 miles and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg 65,888 miles. Others in the list include designer Karl Lagerfeld, German footballer Andre Schurrle, web video producer Felix von der Laden and US businesswoman Meg Whitman.
Then there is the British Royals who all claim that they are the ones helping us save the earth from climate change, but who constantly fly all around the world on carbon-spewing private jets.
Such as Prince Harry:
In August Prince Harry flew by private jet to Sicily to warn an elite audience of business leaders and celebrities gathered at Google’s annual deluxe retreat that immediate action is needed to avoid an approaching climate catastrophe.
More recently Harry and Meghan made a long-haul flight to Africa to spread their climate advocacy to a new audience. Baby Archie joined them last month on the 10-day sojourn along with a team of 13 assistants including a “social media officer” and a hairdresser for Markle.
All the celebrities own 2 three and more homes, own fleets of gas-powered cars, and whole wings worth of aircraft, and spend millions every year on air-conditioning, big parties, and private travel.
Climate saviors, indeed.
