The scene: James Bond standing in his tux in a Montenegro casino. “Who are you?” a beautiful woman coos. “I’m Bond. James Bond… but I used to be Bertha Finkelheimer.”
That’s right, spy fans, transgender activists are now demanding that the next James Bond movie should star a transgender “James” Bond.
Actor Dominic West virtue signaled over the weekend saying that he thinks the next Bond actor should be a woman pretending to be a man… or vice versa, I guess… and he thinks he knows who that person should be, too.
According to Yahoo News:
The British star, who has often been linked to the spy role, made the suggestion during an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine.
“Maybe a transgender Bond would be cool,” West said. “There’s a very cool woman who’s the wife of an actor in [his latest film] Colette, who is a captain in the electrical engineers, the highest ranking transgender soldier in the army.
The soldier he is referring to is Hannah Graf who has done two tours of Afghanistan and whose husband is trans actor Jake Graf.
“She’s a beautiful blonde girl who could be Bond, yes,” he added. “That’s actually a brilliant idea. They should have a transgender Bond because there are a lot of transgender people in the army.
“They’d be ideal because they can do everything.”

Of course, even if that did happen it won’t be for years because the next Bond movie is already set to star Daniel Craig once again. Craig has been Bond for the last four films.
Of course, there have never been any transgender characters in the Bond series. The closest you can get is the somewhat manly or lesbian-like Thumper and Bambi who tried to beat Bond up back in 1971’s Diamonds are Forever (when Sean Connery was still Bond). But even at that rate you have to assume because it is not explicitly said.
Still, if you want to make sure no one goes to the theater, you go ahead and make a transgender James Bond. Such a film would be a major bomb.
