President Donald Trump’s approval rating has climbed to its highest level this year despite the fake impeachment actions being perpetrated against by the Democrat-led House.
Trump’s approval ticked up to 49 percent, the highest it has been in the Hill-HarrisX survey, according to The Hill.
The numbers are up two points since the September 11-12 poll. His disapproval rating is also down to 51 percent, the lowest mark of the year.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are still not moving the dial in favor of impeachment over much despite all the antics.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the public is “sharply divided” over the issue:
Public opinion is sharply divided, as illustrated in two surveys released Sept. 30. A CNN poll found 47% of respondents in favor of impeaching and removing President Trump from office (a 6-point gain since late May) and 45% opposed. Democrats support pursuing this course by a 55-point margin, Republicans resist it by a 66-point margin, and independents are split down the middle.
It turns out that about all the increase in impeachment fever is only seen among Democrats. Neither independents, nor Republicans are catching the fever.
“Most of the increased support for removing the president has come from Democrats, among whom it rose from 73% to 90%. The rest is attributable to independents, up from 34% to 42%, while 92% of Republicans continue to oppose the Democrats’ effort,” the paper wrote.
So, despite the Democrat’s claims that Trump deserves to be impeached, no one else seems to agree.
No wonder Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in no hurry to begin a real impeachment effort.
