Trump Campaign Raises $30 Million in First Quarter, CRUSHING Democrats

The media has been crowing about the millions raised by Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and the rest of 100 Democrats running for president, but it turns out that Donald Trump’s fundraising has dwarfed them all.

Trump raked in a whopping $30 million in the first quarter alone. And that added to the $46 million raised by the Republican National Committee, adds up to $76 million for the GOP effort for 2020. And the cycle has only just started.

As NBC reported:

Combined with $46 million raised by the Republican National Committee, the full Trump re-election effort is expected to have a grand total of $82 million in the bank, with the campaign doubling what it had at the end of last year.

Trump’s total is more than the top two Democratic candidates combined — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who pulled in $18.2 million for the quarter and California Sen. Kamala Harris, who took in $12 million.

In fact, Trump’s numbers have dwarfed the top eight Democrat candidates combined. The top eight Dems have totaled only $65.8 million.

“Trump’s 2020 setup is far more traditional than his first presidential bid,” NBC noted, “when he even pledged to self-fund his run. ‘I don’t need anybody’s money. I’m using my own money. I’m not using the lobbyists. I’m not using donors. I don’t care. I’m really rich,’ he said during his 2015 launch, after coming down the escalator at Trump Tower.”

Indeed, in 2016 Trump spent less than Hillary did. According to Fortune, in the final weeks Trump spent $94 million to Hillary’s $132 million. In total, Trump spent $325 million while Hillary spent an amazing $564 million.

So, if 2016 was any measure, Trump will raise far more than he needs to win.

In fact, the NBC article agrees and forecasts that Trump will raise far more than he’ll need to win a second term.

So far, Trump is on track to reap a huge windfall in donations. Not bad for a president that the media says everyone hates, huh?
