A Sikh man from California reports that he was attacked by what must have been left-wingers who screamed racial epithets at him while he was trying erect Republican campaign signs.
The Sikhs are from the Punjab region of India. Sikhs are generally a very conservative group of people and many support Republicans. But Sikhs are also a very tradition-bound people and the males of the religious sect always wear their traditional turban in public, so they are very easy to spot. But many ignorant people can’t tell a Sikh from a Muslim and Sikhs are often verbally assaulted by those who think they are Islamofascist terror supporters. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
So, apparently, Surjit Malhi , who was putting up campaign signs for Republican Rep. Jeff Denham, angered the liberals in Stanislaus County, California.
According to CBS Sacramento:
It was Tuesday night in Keyes and 50-year-old Surjit Malhi had just placed his last sign at the corner of Foote and Keyes when he came upon two men waiting for him as returned to his truck.
“As soon as I saw them they threw sand in my eyes,” Malhi said.
And that was just the beginning of the attack. The two men proceeded to beat Malhi in the head, shoulders and neck.
“And I cleared my eyes and I saw them,” Malhi said.
Blue eyes peeking through black hoodies is what he saw. And as the beating continued his attackers shouted, “Go back to your country!”
Malhi also found his vehicle vandalized, as well.
“It’s very scary you know. They were going to shoot me,” Malhi said.
“I’m American 100 percent, no doubt, so they say, go back to my country? This is my country,” Malhi added. “If you are a real American and you love America, you should not do that. That is not the American way.”
Liberals are the real racists.
