It was two years ago this week that Republican Rep. Steve Scalise was shot and nearly killed by a Bernie Sanders-supporting leftist. And yet, I’ll bet you did not hear a word about this anniversary in the media.
Scalise was shot down by the leftist at a Virginia baseball park on June 14, 2017. He was shot by Illinois resident James Hodgkinson who was on a rampage to kill as many GOP members of Congress as he could after being revved up by hate speech from liberals like Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Thankfully, Hodgkinson was killed during the incident by two brave Capitol Police officers.
Hodgkinson himself made his motive clear when the FBI found a kill list of Republicans he planned to eliminate in his possession.

The shooter fired at least 70 rounds before he was killed.
Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana was gravely wounded, and his determined recovery has been widely reported on, but for the four others who were struck by bullets and shrapnel, their road to recovery has been largely out of the spotlight in the years since the attack.
The rep. also tweeted about his miraculous escape from being murdered.
Two years ago, my colleagues and I were attacked while practicing for a charity baseball game, simply because we’re Republicans. Thanks to countless heroes, miracles, and prayers, I’m still here today getting to do the job I love in Congress—and play a little baseball. pic.twitter.com/4DWeeFrc76

But, I’ll bet you went all day Friday and never heard of this anniversary.
Now, what do you think the media would have been doing on this anniversary of only two years hence had the shooting involved a bunch of Democrats? Oh, you can bet the farm that the marking of the anniversary would have led every newscast, radio show, and newspaper front page.
Every newspaper, every radio show, every TV broadcast would be recalling this shooting as an example of the evil of being a Republican and they would be blaming Donald Trump for the killing spree, too.
But because it was a Democrat who perpetrated the crime against Republicans? Crickets and silence.
You can just hear the conversation in the news editor’s rooms across the country, can’t you?
Editor One: “Say, should we do something about the 2nd anniversary of the shooting of Congressman Scalise?”
Editor One’s Boss: “Nah. He was just a Republican. Let’s move on.”
The left-media does not care when Republicans are targeted. That is why you didn’t hear of this anniversary yesterday.
