U.S. Marines Cancel Speaker Only Because He’s a Christian

After the U.S. Marines canceled a speaker ONLY because he is a Christian, we have to admit that the hate for Christians has fully engulfed our armed forces.

On Wednesday, Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) told the “Todd Starnes Show” that the Corps canceled a JAG reservist training session last week after a religion-hating group attacked the event because one of the speakers was a Christian.

Collins said that the Christian-hating group, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, jumped into action to attack the Marines because they discovered that a retired Air Force chaplain was going to present one of the discussions during the event.

The rep. added that less than an hour after the anti-Christian organization started agitating against former chaplain Jay Lorenzen, he was fired from the event. Lorenzen told Collins he didn’t understand the issue because his talk was not mandatory.

“Mikey [Weinstein, leader of the MRFF] just lied and every time he was asked about it yesterday, we noticed that his story kept changing that finally it just came back to the fact that in the bio, the guy’s a Christian, he taught a Christian class on this so we can’t have him anywhere near it. That is the most disgusting thing I’ve seen in a long time,” Collins said.

The lying Weinstein told Fox News that the event was “unconstitutional.”

“The fact that the Marine [senior] leaders called back on my personal cell phone 64 minutes later and simply said ‘done’ following up with that confirming email makes it QUITE clear that the senior leadership in Washington agreed with us 100%,” Weinstein crowed.

No, Mikey. It does not mean they agree with you. It means they didn’t want to fight over the speaker.

Starnes concluded:

The report said that the Marines confirmed that the course was canceled but did not give a reason. The lesson was supposed to be a “virtual battlefield tour of Gettysburg using a video from the National Park Service” and was part of the annual training, according to a statement.

Collins, who is running for the Republican Senate seat in Georgia, said that Weinstein is on a crusade to ban all religion in the military and ignore 200 plus years of history.

Collins is right.

In any case, the U.S. Marines should be ashamed of itself.
