US Gun Capital Safest Place to Live

Barack Obama and other anti-gun Democrats continue to paint America as the murder capital of the world. Every time some nut grabs a gun and starts shooting people, they chime in with their rhetoric in hopes of convincing a dumbed down nation to disarm itself.

But what they are telling you is far from truth. Bill Whittle destroys the anti-gun rhetoric with the facts in the video below.

Yes, America is the gun capital of the world with 90.0 guns per 100 residents. Don’t forget that there are many Americans who own more than 1 gun. Serbia is a distant second with 58.2 guns per 100 residents. What may surprise you is that peaceful Switzerland is fourth with 45.7 guns per 100 residents.

So how does being number one in gun ownership compare to worldwide murder rates?

Would you believe that the murder capital of the world with 90 murders per 100,000 people is socialist led Honduras who has strict gun control? Socialist run Venezuela is number two in murders per capita.

Where does the US place on the worldwide murder rate? America came in at 111th place with only 4.7 murders per 100,000 people as of 2012 figures and the only reason we rank that high is because of the murder rates in Democratically controlled gun restricted cities like Detroit with a murder and non-negligent manslaughter rate of 54.6 per 100,000 people. As Bill Whittle points out in the video below, if Detroit was its own country it just beat out Venezuela as the second highest murder rate in the world. Whittle goes on to show a list of 13 cities in the US that are run by Democrats and have strict anti-gun laws who have murder rates far greater than the national average.

Interesting to me is that my home town of Mesa, Arizona has a murder rate of 3.1 murders per 100,000 people. If you’re not familiar with Mesa, it has a reported population of just over 450,000 people and that is doubled in the colder months with the winter visitors. Not long ago, Mesa’s murder rate was lower than 3.1 but with the huge influx of illegals from Mexico and other Latin American countries, murders and crimes in general have been increasing at an alarming rate.

Whittle points out that Plano, Texas with a population of 273,000 people, has a murder rate of only 0.4 per 100,000 people. He also mentions that they are one of the most heavily armed cities in the nation. Go figure!

The facts also show that the nations with the highest murder rates are those run by socialists or dictators who have enacted very strict anti-gun laws, just like the many of the cities in the US with the highest murder rates per capita.

The rhetoric spewing forth from the mouths of Obama, Biden, Bloomberg and others is nothing more than lies and twisted half-truths designed solely to justify their desire to disarm Americans. They know that with so many Americans owning guns that it would be extremely difficult and bloody for them to force their socialist government upon us. History shows that many socialist, communist, fascist, Nazi and dictatorial nations accomplished their take over only AFTER they disarmed their citizens and that’s exactly what America’s socialists, oops, I mean Democrats, want to do!
