Ami Horowitz has done it again, this time with a video showing the reactions of blacks and others who were shocked to learn that the “racist” comments they were read came from Democrats and not President Donald Trump.
The media spent weeks telling all who would listen that Trump’s comments on the many failures of the City of Baltimore were “racist” in nature. The same media also ignored the many dozens of Democrats who have been recorded over the years saying even worse things about Baltimore than Trump ever dreamed of saying.
Armed with a list of these harsh assessments of Baltimore that were uttered by Democrats, Ami Horowitz took to the streets of Baltimore to ask blacks if they thought Trump had said the comments. But when they were told that Democrats said the negative things about Baltimore — and not Trump — the African Americans and others on the street were utterly shocked.
Horowitz asked people on the street who identified as no fans of Trump to tell him who made the harsh comments about Baltimore. He offered them three options after reading the slam on the city. Horowitz read the quote then gave them a choice of who delivered it, Trump, Bernie Sanders, or former black Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh.
The results shows just how badly the media misinforms America on a daily basis.
Horowitz started relating Trump’s comment that Baltimore was a “disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess.” This one was easy to pin on Trump because the whole of the media establishment rose up to call Trump “racist” for saying it.
But then the questions got harder.
Per the Daily Wire:
But the second quote throws the next participant for a loop. “You can smell the rats from here,” Horowitz reads. The woman guesses Trump, only to learn that it was in fact the African American former mayor of Baltimore who offered that rather damning comment — and long before Trump took aim at the Democrat-controlled city.
Next quote: “What the hell? We should take all this sh** down.”
“That’s gotta be Trump,” says a dude whose made great progress growing a Gandalf beard. Unfortunately, again, it turns out that it was actually Mayor Pugh’s suggestion to tear down part of the city back in 2018 because it was so dilapidated.
There were also other quotes that the people on the street thought was from Trump but was actually from one Democrat or another.
In the end, the regular folks on the street were simply shocked that so many Democrats had made “racist” statements about Baltimore. After all, they never heard any of these quotes publicized by the media. So, no wonder they were shocked.
