Liberals are loving a new video with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rambling about “dark money” but the Rep’s quote that leftists are pushing leaves out the most important part that ends up making her look as foolish as she usually does.
During a recent congressional hearing, the New York Rep. went on the attack against so-called “dark money” in campaign finance.
As Vox reported:
Walter Shaub, senior adviser to the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and former head of the Office of Government Ethics who resigned under President Donald Trump, was one of the witnesses in the hearing. Ocasio-Cortez asked him whether the ethics limits placed on members of Congress and the president are comparable. “In terms of laws that apply to the president … there’s almost no laws at all that apply to the president,” he said.
“It’s already super legal, as we’ve seen, for me to be a pretty bad guy. So it’s even easier for the president of the United States to be one, I would assume,” Ocasio-Cortez said during the hearing.
She went on to slam Congress itself (as she is wont to do), saying, “We have a system that is fundamentally broken. We have these influences existing in this body, which means that these influences are here in this committee shaping the questions that are being asked of you all right now.”
Ocasio-Cortez, went on to break down campaign finance laws in a way liberals think is easy to digest. As Vox notes, she said, “that a politician can legally take money from, for example, the oil and gas industry and then, once elected, write laws that help the industry and invest in oil and gas stocks is pretty wild. As she puts it, it’s easy for her to be a ‘pretty bad guy.'”
Liberals began sharing the video with glee imagining that Ocasio-Cortez hit the nail on the head. One who shared the video was foreigner and failed funny-man James Corden:
Oh my god. This is just sensational. Please watch and retweet. pic.twitter.com/ackPHwAUce

But, liberals conveniently left out what happened at the hearing as soon as Ocasio-ortez stopped blathering. Indeed, Bradley A Smith, the Chairman for the Institute for Free Speech, destroyed Ocasio-Cortez’ entire argument — including the article she was using to base her argument on — saying that just about everything she said was all not factual.
Here's the follow up to Ocasio-Cortez's comments, it's amazing how this was conveniently left out of that 5-minute video pic.twitter.com/L9nOIIZrnN

Naturally, the libs ignored this reply that came right on the heels of Ocasio-Cortz’ rant.
Here is the whole segment of the hearing:
