Iconic singer Barbra Streisand has infuriated victims rights advocates by excusing away pop singer Michael Jackson’s child molestation as just “his needs” and saying that the kids he abused really loved the abuse.
Streisand’s blinkered comments are seen in a new interview with the British Times released late last week.
Th interview was wide ranging, but her comments about her friend, pop icon Michael Jackson, is what raised everyone’s eyebrows.
Streisand seemed to completely wave away all of Jackson’s sick exploitation of young boys as just a funny hitch in his personality that really didn’t hurt anyone.
On one had, the “People” singer said she believes the victims who have come forward to say that Jackson molested them when they were pre-teens. But on the other, Streisand waved it off as no big deal.
“[Jackson’s] sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has,” Streisand said. “You can say ‘molested,’ but those children, as you heard say [grown-up Robson and Safechuck], they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”
“I feel bad for the children,” she added, according to NYDN. “I feel bad for him. I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him. Why would Michael need these little children dressed like him and in the shoes and the dancing and the hats?”
That is little else but blaming the victim and saying the kids deserved to be raped by Jackson because they dared to show up at his Neverland Ranch.
How are her words any different than those creeps who say women deserve to be raped for wearing provocative clothing?
Naturally people are now attacking Streisand. As well they should.
Twitter exploded with attacks on Streisand’s crazy proclamations:

Liberal lunatic Barbra Streisand is condoning Michael Jackson's sexual assault on children.
She says boys in "Leaving Neverland" were "thrilled to be there” and it “didn’t kill them" and his “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”#MAGA #Tcot #SaturdayMorning #SaturdayMotivation pic.twitter.com/nqmeFN8FeH

Barbra Streisand said they “were thrilled to be there” and that what allegedly happened to them “didn’t kill them.”
She also said that Jackson’s “sexual needs were his sexual needs.”
TRUE OR NOT… WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SEXUALLY ABUSING CHILDREN!!! 😡

Barbra Streisand reminds us why we can't trust her judgement. Michael Jackson’s "sexual needs were his sexual needs," she says. “You can say ‘molested,' but those children…both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them." https://t.co/B84K3KE4kJ …

"Yeah the molestation and sexual abuse were bad; but they grew up, got married and aren't dead, so how bad could it really have been?"
That's basically the gist of Barbra Streisand's comments.
