Lost in the “Russia, Russia, Russia” narrative is that the Russia hacking took place in 2016. There is ample evidence that Russia and other countries have tried to influence our elections. Is anyone surprised at this? The United States not only tries to influence the elections of other countries but we start wars with them.
The Iraq war was started in hopes of removing Sadam Hussein from office. If that’s not trying to influence the political outcome of a country I don’t know what is. We did it with Libya. We’re trying to do it with Iran.
Let’s not forget that the meddling by the Russians in the 2016 election took place while Barack Obama was President and John Brennan was leading the CIA.
Obama talked like he was doing things but he rarely did anything of any substance to stop Russia. In fact, he promised that once he was reelected that he would be able to do more for Russia. He would be less restrained because he did not have to run for office again.
The Mueller investigation was established to determine if Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to affect the outcome of the election. There is no evidence that he did. The 12 recent indictments against some Russians did not involve any Americans and had no impact on the outcome of the election.
I’ll tell you what is having an impact: Illegal immigration. Some states are considering allowing illegal immigrants to vote! Not a single Russian influenced a single voter to vote for Trump and against Hillary. Surely tens of thousands of illegal aliens residing the US have impacted our elections and will continue to do so.
Trump won and Hillary lost on the merits of their campaigns. Hillary herself had more impact on her election than any Russian. If there was any collusion in the 2016 election, it was the US media working to help Hillary Clinton win. The media collusion persists as they work to help the Democrats impeach Pres. Trump.
Few people remember that when Mitt Romney ran against then Pres. Obama that he made some comments about Russia that were dismissed by the media. So much so that the media claimed that Romney was out of touch with reality. Russia was no longer a threat. The same media that believes Russia is a threat dismissed the call by Romney to be vigilant.
As a result, the Obama Administration neglected its duties…
