There’s a reason why this site is called “Godfather Politics.” The Mafia and civil governments function in similar ways. If you want to know why any particular decision is made, you only have to follow two things: the money and the power. The main difference between the two is that civil governments are considered to be legitimate, while the Mafia’s authority is illegitimate.
The effects, however, are nearly the same. The people are fleeced and some people wind up dead.
In the second Godfather film, there’s a conversation between Michael Corleone and Kay after Michael returns from hiding out in Italy. Michael’s trying to explain that the Corleone family operates like any government:
Michael: “My father is no different than any other powerful man — any man who’s responsible or other people, like a senator or president.”
Kay: “You know how naive you sound. Senators and presidents don’t have men killed.”
Michael: “Oh, who’s being naive, Kay?”
So I’m trying to think like the Godfather. Why would President Obama send out Susan Rice? After hearing all the criticisms from the Democrats about Rice being a woman and black, it’s crystal clear. She was sent out because she is a woman and black. Obama and Co. used her for cover. It didn’t matter what she said. The press wouldn’t attack her because she’s a Democrat. They would protect her. If the Republicans questioned her, low and behold, it would be because of her two-fold minority status.
Of course, this doesn’t work on the Republican side. The media would immediately accuse the Republicans of using a minority black woman to take the flak for their costly mistakes. They would claim that the GOP would only use a black woman as a slave owner would.
The Associated Press is working hard to put the Benghazi controversy to rest so the liberal news outlet can get back to its real job — tearing down Republicans. Do you want some evidence?
The AP’s Anne Flaherty concluded that there was no sinister plot to spin the story:
“The White House could finally have its chance to close the books on its Benghazi public relations disaster, as key Republicans signal they might not stand in the way of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to become the next secretary of state.”
Rice covered for the Obama Team, and the Obama Team and the Administration’s Press corps covered for Susan Rice. What we just witnessed is Godfather Politics in action.Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
